Who we are

Camp Gilgal is a messianic camp for Jewish children and youth (ages 8-18) with locations in California (Camp Gilgal West) and the Northeast (Camp Gilgal East).

For over 30 years, Camp Gilgal has provided Jewish children and youth with a messianic camping experience and given them opportunities to:

  • Come to know Yeshua in a personal way (many of our campers have made commitments to Him at Camp Gilgal)

  • Grow in their faith through age-appropriate Bible lessons specifically developed to help meet the needs of young Jewish believers (we developed our own curriculum)

  • Gain a better understanding of their Jewish identity (this is especially important for children of first-generation believers and those from intermarried families)

  • Be supported and encouraged by a camp staff committed to ministering to each camper according to their individual needs (most of our camp staff grew up attending Camp Gilgal)

  • Establish lasting friendships with other messianic Jewish young people (many of our campers consider their fellow campers to be their closest friends)

  • Personal growth and development of skills in leadership, teamwork, the arts (music, drama and crafts and journalism)

  • Enjoy the beauty of God’s creation (our campers have seen and experienced some amazing things, including an occasional animal)

  • Have fun (maximum fun!)

Camp Gilgal can be summed up in these three words:

Tradition, Community, Fun

History

Camp Gilgal started in 1991 with a vision to provide a camping experience for Jewish young people navigating their Jewish identity and faith in Jesus. The camp quickly grew to include camps across the country. Since then, we've seen young people from all over the United States as well as Russia, Venezuela, Canada, Mexico, China, Israel, and France come to Camp Gilgal.

Mission and Vision

Our mission is to help raise up new generations of Jewish believers in Messiah. We strive to see them raised up to maturity in their faith and identity so they can serve God and others.
