Leadership

Rebekah “RedSox” Rood
Co-Director - East

RedSox grew up in an intermarried Jewish-believing home in New Hampshire. Taking ownership of her faith as a preteen preparing for her Bat Mitzvah, she really values this season in the lives of young people and its unique opportunities for discipleship. RedSox was sent to Camp Gilgal "against her will" in 2002. As an introvert, she didn't think it was her thing... but it quickly became another home. The only summer she's missed since then was to participate in Massah. RedSox began serving with Jews for Jesus full-time in 2011, after completing a B.A. in English from Pace University. In 2015, RedSox became the director of Camp Gilgal East. She is married to Sam "Beardo" Rood, who also serves with Jews for Jesus. RedSox and Beardo have two children.
