Interview with Spunk

Hi Everyone! I’m Samantha, and today I’m interviewing Spunk. Spunk Is an amazing counselor. She leads arts and crafts, and at tabernacle she teaches us, campers on Genesis. First I asked her what her favorite tory in Genesis is. She said the story of creation. Then I asked what detail of Genesis 1&2 was. She really like how God simply spoke and He created something amazing. Next, I asked simple questions. Her favorite food is dark chocolate. I totally agree with her! I love any chocolate. Her favorite color is green, kind of because when she was younger, people used to compliment her on her beautiful green eyes. She also like green because of the plants that God made. Her favorite activity is skits. She loves to act out Bible stories in Tabernacle. To wrap it up, I asked her what her favorite verse is. “Ephesians 2:8-9” she said. I like sports because I like to work out. My favorite sport is soccer because I like to kick the ball. I like to play soccer with my dad. Bear, he works for Jews for Jesus. I also like volley ball. I like to hit the ball. Sports are fun. I like to run a lot. Did you know that in a real soccer game you have to run 90 minutes? That’s a lot of time. I wonder if you can juggle with a soccer ball how your probably thinking about juggling with hands. But actually you use your feet. You need to kick the ball and try and make the ball not the ground. I also like nakam, it is kind of like volley ball , the only different thing is you hit the ball with the inside of your hand. Field sports are great, come to Camp Gilgal and see for yourself.

Looking for a tasty treat after a swim in the pool? The snack shop is the perfect place for you! Sweet, sour, and even spicy, the snack shop has it all. You can buy candy, soda, chips, and even ice cream sandwiches all for a reasonable price. While you’re eating the treat of your choice, you can lounge in the pool room and think about what to buy next. My favorite thing to buy here is the giant twix. The snack shop is one of my favorite places at Camp Gilgal because they sell so many amazing things!
The Game Room

The game room is a fun place to play games and eat snacks. In the fame room there is the snack shop where you can get candy, soda, t-shirts, and more! In the game room there are multiple games that you can play, foosball, pool, air hockey, and ping pong. My favorite part of the game room is the snack shop because I can get sour patches and they’re actually sour.

Did you know that Camp Gilgal has the best food? For example, at breakfast we have eggs, cereal, & turkey bacon. Also, on Friday we have waffles with whipped cream and strawberries on top. For lunch we have burgers and fries. For dinner we have mac and cheese, potatoes and dessert. Dessert is my favorite thing about lunch and dinner, it is so good. One thing they have is ice cream, cokes. chips, brownies, cake, chocolates, pudding and much more. Also I forgot to tell you that there is a salad bar; it has so many fruits and vegetables. Tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, watermelon and more. Now does this make your mouth water? Does this make you want to go to camp? I hope this makes you want it badly.
Campfire

What I am gonna write about is campfire because I love marshmallows and smores. Also I like when we do camp songs like "Pharaoh" (Egyptian Song) and also I like the hike up there. Because the exercise is great for my calves. Our campfire talks are about Jesus (Yeshua) never stops. They are good to get your emotions out it was meaningful to me when they talked about how sinning means God will not give up on you.
Nacho Workout

Three…Two..One…GO! I start running across the field, my arms and legs pumping. We are doing a workout before tabernacle. Nacho is one of my tribe leaders and she leads the exercises. We have deemed it the Nacho workout. We end the exercise with a relay race. I can feel the sun on my brown. Normal thing you do during this time are sit-ups, pushups, running, and more! If this is not for you, we also have more relaxed stretching routines led by other counselors. Do you think you can take on the Nacho workout!
Mosaics

This year for craft we are doing mosaics. To make a mosaic you need water, colorful glass, glue, a portrait and grout. How you make it is like this. You draw your design on paper. The draw it on the portrait then you take colorful gloss and you take the colors you need. You glue your glass and after when it dries, you mix water and grout to make cement. You cover your portrait, it dries and you have done your mosaic. I chose to design mine like a sun. I love sunsets and I didn’t want to do a sunset it was too complicated. I love the colors of a sun so I did a sun. The end.
The Field Trip

Take me out to the ballgame... The thrill of a home run, the shouts of the crowd, the hit of a ball. If you like any of this, the field trip to the baseball game at Camp Gilgal is the place for you. At Camp Gilgal, we go on a field trip each year to places like the watery depths of the aquarium or the shouts & screams of a baseball game. The baseball game is my favorite of camp because we can have buttery popcorn, delicious coke, and soft fluffy pretzels. Also we can yell out throats hoarse by cheering for our favorite team. See you next year!!!

Hello, my name is Gilad. I'm 9 years old. I am writing about F.O.B. It is a time where we go inside our cabin and rest. We go for about an hour. The reason we need flat on bunk is because at camp we wake up early we do exercises, we clean our cabins, have bible lessons, and learn Hebrew. Then go to lunch and after we go to the pool. By this time we are exhausted. It's a goof thing it's time for F.O.B. Some kids like to play, "Go Fish", quietly during F.O.B. Some kids like to take a nap. Personally, I like to draw during F.O.B. Even though I don't sleep during F.O.B., it's nice to rest.

Hi my name is Micah! I love horses. My horses was Saky he has white spots and is brown. He is always ready for a nap. He loves to cut corners in the ring but he’s so sweet and I love him. He is so calm and beautiful. He loves apple flavored treats.. He is always ready for a nap. We walked in a ring for practice for a trail ride later. He likes Dela but she doesn’t like him as much. You will love horse riding.
Things about the Pool

Hi my name is Sylvia. I love going to the pool because I love swimming with my friends. The water is so nice and kind of warm and I can swim like a mermaid too. I have so much fun. The swim test is fun too and once you do the swim test, you can swim the whole time at camp. I recommend going in the pool even if it is cold because you get used to it if you like to swim. So I hope you enjoy it if you come to Camp Gilgal.
